The magistrate of the science city of Darmstadt intends to build an art depot in solid construction. The building is predominantly used as a warehouse and, in addition to depot areas, has additional storage and technical areas, which are available on each floor. On the ground floor there are additional administration rooms and workshop areas. The building consists of four full floors above ground. In order to provide access to the roof surface, the stairwell is raised above the roof level. A basement is not planned. The building envelope receives comprehensive, external full heat protection. The exterior dimensions of the building are approximately 24 m (width) x approx. 52 m (length) x approx. 4,900 m².
