EMPACT seeks expressions of interest (via PQQ) for.
The supply of an Utilisation Review Software Tool (or Tools) that covers Level of Care, Mental Health and Referral Intelligence.
These tools will enable EMPACT to work with healthcare organisations to assess if patients are receiving the right care, in the right place, at the right time. It has been part of NHS policy since 2006 and ensures that NHS resources are being used in the best way to provide the best possible care.
All nine Primary Care Trusts in the East Midlands have signed up to the Utilisation Review Programme led by EMPACT. From 1 April 2012, EMPACT, as part of the Greater East Midlands (GEM) Commercial Support Service (CSS), will offer Utilisation Review services to Clinical Commissioning Groups, acute hospitals, mental health trusts, community hospitals, community care providers and other CSS's on a national basis.
The aim is to work with clinicians to implement an objective, clinical protocol-driven tool in a variety of healthcare settings and organisations. The selection of suitable software tools is fundamental to effective delivery of this service to EMPACT's (GEM's) customers.
