Belspo finances a program dedicated to the digitization of the scientific and cultural heritage of federal scientific establishments and of the Royal Belgian Cinematheque. Within this program, part of the digitization is carried out by the institutions and the rest is outsourced via public service contracts (procedure open at European level for a period of four years which may be extended by one year) coordinated by Belspo . This contract is part of the DIGIT-04 phase of the program (extending from 2019 to 2024). A first contract (DIGIT-04-NUM1) comprising two lots (lot 1 “Large formats” and lot 2 “Videos”) was launched in 2019 and awarded in 2020.
We are launching a second service contract for the digitization of three lots: Books, A3 / A4 loose sheets and Photos on paper. Within each batch, we will work by project. For this market, we will start from presumed quantities which are indicated in the specifications.
BooksDigitization (300 DPI) of approximately 2,500 bound volumes (from heterogeneous heritage collections: different formats and opening angles). See specifications.
A3 / A4 loose sheetsDigitization (300 DPI) of various heterogeneous heritage funds made up of unbound sheets (approximately 500,000 sheets in total). See specifications.
Photos on paperScanning (300 or 600 DPI) of a set of photos and postcards in photo paper or cardboard (approximately 90,000 views). See specifications.
