Vadsø Municipality plans to build a new nursing home wing with a total of 19 nursing home places for long-term stays. Hereunder 14 regular long-term places, three respite places and two reinforced/protected places. The measure is intended to be located east of the existing residential and care centre, and connection to this building will take place via the transport corridor. The existing foot and bicycle path will be moved east to the necessary extent, and the existing retaining wall to the north will be dismantled and external walls on the northern part of the new building will be constructed to be able to absorb earth pressure. Furthermore, a new sensory garden will be established near the parking place south of municipal road.
