Contracting Authority seeks services to address identified issues in statistical output quality processes to ensure high-quality outputs essential for ONS and UK Government policy design.
Provision of Services Relating to Managing Statistical Output Quality. The Contracting Authority seeks to address issues which have been identified through analysis of the SQMM (Statistical Quality Maturity Model) and QiPs (Quality Improvement Plans). These issues are largely around handovers and manual steps in processes. Producing statistics of high quality is vital to ONS: an essential part of its role and fundamental to UK Government policy design. However, their analysis has identified weaknesses in end-to-end processes which create risks to their ability to ensure that they continue to maintain high quality statistical outputs. ONS statistical production has grown organically over many years, resulting in bespoke processes for each output that are tailored to very specific data and methods with many subject matter experts as single points of knowledge.
