This specifications are an assignment by the Dutch Language Union to set up a training offer for Dutch teachers such as a Foreign Language (NVT) and Dutch language institutes to institutions outside the Dutch language area.

The assignment involves developing, organizing and executing

(1) a physical course with online prior and post-trajectory and

(2) online training modules for NVT teachers by an institution or a collaboration of institutions commissioned and in cooperation with the Taalunie.

With this continuing training offer, the Taalunie pursues the following general objectives:

• Supervise and strengthen NVT teachers in their educational practice;

• Strengthen NVT teachers in their role as ambassadors for Dutch;

• Provide NVT teachers with opportunities to expand their professional network.

Functional and substantive aspects of the procurement:

• Provide NVT teachers with an intensive introduction or refreshment in NVT didactics;

• Provide NVT teachers with insight into their teaching practice;

• Provide NVT teachers with opportunities to make the didactic translation into educational practice on the basis of the knowledge gained;

• Support NVT teachers in making the transfer of research results to education practice;

• Give NVT teachers the opportunity to make the didactic translation into teaching practice based on the knowledge gained;

A. Physical Course

Form: a physical course of up to five days, combined with an online pros and post-trajectory:

• During the online preliminary process, participants will be prepared for the content of the programme via webinars;

• During the physical part of the course, there are as many interactive workshops as possible in which participants do group work;

• During the online post-project, participants can count on coaching and support for the implementation of the scholar in their own teaching practice. There are also a few joint online feedback moments.

Target group: NVT teachers from higher education and adult education, regardless of their mother tongue or experience. Minimum number of participants: 20 teachers.

B. Online Refresh Modules

Form: online refresher modules that the user can follow independently, in combination with online feedback sessions

Audience: NVT teachers, regardless of the level of education, type, or native language of participants. No restriction on number of participants.
