The provision is for replacement of Inland water operations PPE as and when required locally by the Ambulance trust for the Hazardous Areas Response Team (HARTeam) across England, N. Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Any requirement(s) will be procured locally by the appropriate trust as and when the need may arise, therefore, we are unable to guarantee any level of business arising from the award of this framework.

For the purpose of quantities for this framework there are 15 HARTeams across the England, plus 3 in Scotland, 1 in Wales and 1 in N. Ireland each team has 46 operatives, each operative will have an Inland water operation PPE for use in water rescue operations as part of the standard PPE issue.

The kit will include gloves, boots (to EN20345), throw bag, thermal layer, knife, dry suite, buoyancy aid (to ISO EN12402/5) and helmet (to EN1385). The requirement is for a "one stop shop" were the awarded company can supply all the equipment listed along with any training requirement.
