Silkeborg Recycling and Waste offers the task of household collection of food waste, residual waste, recyclable waste and garden waste and batteries, small electronics from approx. 44 400 households in Silkeborg Municipality. The agreement runs from March 21, 2022 to September 5, 2027.
The collection task comprises the following overall activities:
- collection of food waste, residual waste and recyclable materials (plastic, metal, glass and paper / cardboard) from households and municipal institutions and companies. The waste is collected in 1- and 2-chamber containers, respectively
- collection of small batteries, small electronics and light bulbs for emptying containers
- collection of garden waste in containers
- Disposal of the collected waste at the receiving facility Waste Center Tandskov.
The task of collecting food and residual waste is based on a stand-by-stand scheme. The task of collecting recyclable materials and garden waste is based on a distinction.
The task of collecting batteries, small electronics and light bulbs is based on a "bag-on-lid" scheme.
