The Prison and Probation Service wants to enter into framework agreements on the supply of metal detector frames (part 1 agreement), portable mobile phone detectors (part 2 agreement) and hand-held metal detectors (part 3 agreement). Tenderer may submit bids for 1, 2 or all 3 partial agreements. Allocation is made separately for each sub-agreement.
The framework agreements are exclusive. All 3 framework agreements contain provisions for initial deliveries, which must be delivered within 3 months of the signing of the framework agreements. Subsection # 1 contains provisions on telephone support, service and annual service checks. Subsection 2 contains provisions on telephone support.
The requirements for the detectors are described in the draft Appendix 2 requirements specification for each sub-agreement, while the framework agreement terms are set out in the framework agreement draft.
The Prison and Probation Service, with its 25 institutions of approx. 60 properties across the country have a total capacity of approx. 4,000 seats. In addition, the Prison and Probation Service has a number of administrative offices.

The framework agreement concerns delivery, installation and calibration so that the metal detectors are delivered operationally ready to the Prison and Probation Service. In connection with the delivery, the supplier is also obliged to provide training in the use of the metal detector. Finally, the framework agreement also includes telephone support, service and an annual test review on all detector frames.
