The former Benedictine Abbey of St. Michael, one of the most important monuments of national and international importance in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bamberg, celebrated its 1,000th anniversary in 2015. The renovation of the church is in full swing and in the coming years renovation measures will be carried out on buildings and structures of the entire monastery complex.
The gardens, most of which were laid out with the Baroque redesign, with their planting, terracing, fountains, stairs and paths, have to be redesigned, esp. after the construction work on the monastery buildings and the rehabilitation of the drainage, newly created or restored. The network of stairs and paths must be geared to demand and the increasing number of tourists and repaired taking into account traffic safety. All concepts are aimed at sustainable use while preserving and restoring the baroque shape of the monastery complex in the Bamberg World Heritage Site.

Note:
With the entry into force of the new version of the HOAI 2021 on January 1, 2021, the binding to minimum and maximum rates is lifted. The fee tables of the HOAI 2021 show orientation values.
The fee is based on the agreement that the contracting parties make in writing.
The Client points out that, in accordance with § 7 HOAI, a higher or lower fee than the orientation values specified in the HONO charts of the HOAI can be agreed. Unless an agreement has been made, the respective basic allowances for the basic services shall be deemed agreed.
The subject of the procedure is the commissioning of the object planning of outdoor facilities according to HOAI 2021, Part 3, Section 2, §§ 38 ff.
- Gradual commissioning of the basic services of service phases 1 to 9
- for the time being only level 1 with LPH 1+2 including related special achievements
- further levels according to contract model (according to HAV-KOM)
Special services:
- Participation in funding procedures (level 1+2) and initial work where-used list (level 3+4)

- Local construction supervision
- Establishment of a care concept for the horticultural maintenance of the newly designed outdoor facilities according to horticultural, garden-historical and economic aspects
- Mapping, investigation and evaluation of the stock
- Establishment and calculation of life cycle costs
Planning services have already been provided according to HOAI object planning outdoor facilities. Inventory documents, garden historical investigations and graphic reconstructions are available. The applicant is requested to check whether (partial) services of LPH 1 + 2 have already been provided with the available documents.
It is assumed that with the conclusion of the VgV procedure, the goal-setting phase according to BGB is completed.
Parallel to the VgV procedure for the object planning of outdoor facilities, the engineering service for the drainage planning (object planning of civil engineering structures) is put out to tender in a further VgV procedure.
The assignment is intended in accordance with the provision of funds and funding commitment.
There is no legal entitlement to the commissioning, as well as the commissioning of further levels or special services.

Note on the fee agreement according to § 7 HOAI 2021:
The fee tables of the HOAI 2021 show orientation values. The fee is based on the agreement reached by the contracting parties in text form. The client points out that according to § 7 HOAI a higher or lower fee than the orientation values specified in the fee tables of the HOAI can be agreed. If no agreement has been made, the respective basic fee rate shall be deemed agreed for the basic services.
