TenneT currently uses the free-of-charge Apache Kafka environment which is foreseen to grow and more paid license functionalities and paid support and consultancy requests are needed. Highover deliverables from the awarded tenderer should be to support TenneT's own on-premise data streaming as a service (DSaaS) which is reliable and secure in order to support critical processes and must comply to the data centre principles (active-active, high availability) and all data (incl. meta data) staying on-premise.

Added value can be contributed in the following categories of an ‘Enterprise Kafka’ suite: licenses, maintenance and support, including third line support, for the Kafka Enterprise Solution: for deployment and operations; data platform and integration capabilities; best practices on governance and security. Consultancy and training. An initial contract period of three (3) years is applicable with extension options of four (4) times two (2) years.

Goal of this tender is to contract an expanded platform based on Apache Kafka including licenses, maintenance and support thereof, third line support, consultancy and training.
