The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft intends to build an extension for the Fraunhofer Institute IESE at the Kaiserslautern site.
With comprehensive support from the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, the federal government and ERDF funds, the existing building in Kaiserslautern is to be expanded by another part of the building (House D). A research building with new workplaces and pilot plants is needed. The field of innovation engineering with customers in various technical fields is becoming increasingly important. In order to provide these customers with creative settings on site, flexible spaces are necessary that are not sufficiently available in the building stock. In addition, 90 new jobs are planned.
The measure with approx. 1939 m² NF 1-6 is composed as follows:
