The city of Frankfurt a. M. is planning the renewal of the approximately 2.3 hectare Cäcilia-Lauth-Spielpark in Frankfurt Sossenheim. The focus of the renewal and redesign is on the intensification of the uses "play, sport, recreation and meeting place". Among other things, it is planned to improve the quality of stay and use; maintaining, securing and improving the range of games on offer for all age groups; the increase of accessibility and the ecological upgrading of green spaces. The reason for the renewal of the Cäcilia-Lauth-Spielpark is the integrated urban development concept "Social Cohesion Sossenheim" as well as the usage distribution concept for the green areas in the area of the Carl-Sonnenschein-Siedlung. As part of this, citizen participation has already taken place. In addition, the implementation of further participation formats - especially aimed at children and young people - is planned (implementation by neighbourhood management). The results of this are to be included in the planning for the renewal of the park.
The estimated costs of the services to be awarded are estimated at approximately € 1.5 million net for cost group 500. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025.
