The purpose of the tender is to acquire a modern public cloud based analytics platform that can be used by DONG Energy's Strategic Management of Measurements (SMM) programme and by other DONG Energy entities with a need to use a cloud based analytics platform. As SMM will be the first user of the platform requirements in this tender is to some extend derived from the needs of SMM.

The purpose of the Strategic Management of Measurements (SMM) programme is to systematically secure site specific measurements of wind, waves, loads and power curves in order to enable high quality analysis to support decision making across the organisation during the entire project life cycle from development to decommissioning of wind farms. Having access to measurement data will help in assessing site conditions during the development phase and during execution on site hereby supporting design activities and operational activities offshore. Furthermore, it most importantly allows for verification of design assumptions on specific assets and subsequently also incorporate our experience in future wind park designs. Finally, it will be an enabler for assessing potential lifetime extension of assets. Furthermore, Wind Power has obligations set by authorities and certification bodies to prove design assumptions by operational data in order to maintain license to operate.
