Forssan Enterprise Development Ltd (“FYK”) requests applications for participation as a procurement channel for nearby and organic food in a dynamic procurement system.
The procurement scheme and the requirements for accession are described in the request for participation and in its annexes. This is a joint acquisition in which Forssan Enterprise Development Ltd coordinates the establishment and management of a dynamic procurement system, and which can be exploited by other contracting entities in the joint procurement process when acquiring foodstuffs.
The objective of the dynamic procurement system to be established is to establish a procurement channel for the acquisition and exploitation of organic and nearby products in the food service production of the contracting entities. The aim is, in particular, to promote the exploitation of local food and local production in food service production, to aim at shortening supply chains of sourced food and raw materials, to promote traceability of products, to promote close proximity to sustainable development principles, the exploitation of food produced ecologically and also as organic production in food service production and also contributes to the exploitation of the products of small and local producers. At the same time, promote the development of food culture by establishing links with and between primary and local producers and making local and organic production familiar to food service customers. It is also aimed at finding new products and trying to take advantage of the opportunities they bring in food service production, thereby responding to users' aspirations and consumption habits.
Suppliers interested in the acquisition may submit an application for participation at or during the duration of the creation of a dynamic procurement system. Suppliers approved for the scheme may participate in tenders within the procurement system as described in this request for participation. Acquisitions on the basis of a dynamic procurement system are carried out either as tenders or through electronic catalogues.
There is no limit on the number of eligible suppliers.
The object of the acquisition covers the following categories of food:
- cereal products
- products containing potatoes and potatoes
- Vegetables, berries and fruits and products containing them
- milk and dairy products
- dietary fats and vegetable oils
- fish and fish products
- pork and pork products
- beef and beef products
- poultry, poultry products, egg and egg products
- any other foods (e.g. honey)
