As a part of the goal to achieve complete broadband coverage in Sør-Trøndelag in 2016/2017, development and upgrading of broadband shall be done in 7 municipalities.

There are a total of 12 areas that shall be expanded. The project is a co-operation between Sør-Trøndelag counties and the involved municipalities. The delivery shall include:

— Conveyance of high capacity transmission to the relevant area;

— New or upgraded broadband accesses of a minimum 30 Mbps downstream to industry, households and municipal entities;

— Provide internet access and other broadband services.

The number of accesses are estimated to 1 082, basically private homes. See the tender documents and annexes.

Tenderers are invited to submit tenders for 1 area in 1 municipality. The exception is Oppdal kommune, who want a tender offer for the entire expansion.
