SAP S / 4HANA module consulting

The City of Munich (LHM) is looking for IT service providers in the SAP environment with expert knowledge in the implementation of SAP S / 4HANA with the SAP Activate methodology and using SAP Solution Manager 7.2 with Focused Build.

The task of the contractor or the contractor of the respective lot will be, together with LHM and SAP:

- to collect the requirements in the exploration phase,

- to draft the solution design together with LHM and SAP,

- to implement the solutions in the implementation phase according to the design specifications from the exploration phase and

- to test the solution in the deployment phase and to design, plan and carry out migrations and

- to support in the early run phase in Early Life Support,

- To analyze business processes in parallel to the individual phases from SAP Activate, to identify technical optimization potential and to develop quick solutions outside of the actual implementation project and to find a quick solution.

Implementation advice

The services, tasks and activities described below are to be provided by the contractor in lot 1 (implementation consulting). Information on the SAP Activate method is available at https://news.sap.com/germany/2015/07/sap-activate-beschränkt-die-einfuhrung-voninnovationen-mit-sap-s4hana/.

- Organization of fit-to-standard workshops at the time of consulting, the digital / 4finance program is in the exploration phase according to SAP Activate. The planning of the individual Fit-to-Standard workshops that has taken place up to that point must be updated, and suitable process packages for the individual waves and sprints of the workshop planning must be developed.

- Performing the role of Solution Architect in the Fit-to-Standard workshops

The standard processes and best practice processes already set in the prototype are presented by the solution architect in the fit-to-standard workshops, special features of the solution and different standard forms are discussed, and questions and requirements from the workshop participants, especially those responsible for the process and the specialist process experts recorded, discussed and documented.

In the follow-up to the Fit-to-Standard workshops, the Solution Architect, together with the program staff and the Business Process Consultant, evaluates the requirements and, as far as possible, develops a standard-compliant solution. For solutions that are not possible in the standard (gaps and WRICEF), possible solutions, costs and benefits are evaluated and prepared for later design workshops.

The proposed solutions are evaluated together with SAP.

- Assuming the role of business process consultant in the Fit-to-Standard workshop

The business process consultant supports the solution architect in preparing the content of the workshops and brings his in-depth knowledge of the components he oversees to the fit-to-standard workshops and the solution design.

- Advice on the solution design of the individual components and their integration for program staff.

- Content planning and implementation of the design workshops.

- Implementation of the solutions defined in the exploration phase for the requirements raised through customizing and system developments.

- Advising program staff on implementing the solutions defined in the exploration phase for the requirements raised through customizing and system developments.

- Documentation of the solutions with process representations (BPMN), configuration documentation and the necessary test cases in the SAP Solution Manager.

- Test of the implemented functions, components and solutions.

- Development of a migration concept for master data and movement data of the legacy systems.

- Advising program staff on migration.

- Advice and support for individual migration steps.

- Advice and support in providing the necessary components.

- Advice and support in the preparation and implementation of the productive start.

- Advice and support in the first production phase (hypercare).

- Advice and support in the ongoing development and conception of further expansion stages of S / 4HANA until the end of the contract.

- Advising program staff on the design, construction and productive start of BW / 4HANA for management reporting.

- Advice and support in the further expansion of the functionalities of the SAP Analytics Cloud and the SAP Cloud Platform.

Lot 1 is estimated to be 72,000 person-hours (PS).

Business process consulting

The subject of the consultation (business process consultation) will be the support of the sovereign area of the state capital Munich in the field of business process management of the city treasury as the process owner of most of the business processes mapped in SAP S / 4HANA.

The scope of support can be selective, stimulating, or even intensive consulting, in which a technical topic is worked out together or results are independently developed and supplied based on the client's specifications. When working on the topic, it is necessary to involve and collaborate with various levels of the hierarchy, especially top-level management. The client considers experience, skill and an appropriate demeanor for the group of participants to be critical to success.

The consulting services are to be provided in a trusting and cooperative partnership with the state capital of Munich and the strategic partner SAP.

The services, tasks and activities described below are to be provided by the contractor in lot 2.

- Advice and support in the design of business processes on the basis of the standard processes developed in S / 4HANA.

- Advice and support in business IT alignment as part of the digital / 4finance program.

- Advice and support in setting up a business process management for the processes of the city treasury and for city-wide processes in the responsibility of the city treasury.

Lot 2 is estimated to be 24,000 person-hours (PS).
