The Department of Pharmacology at Oslo University Hospital, Rikshospitalet, shall procure a new system for analysing medicines, medicine metabolites and biomarkers biological sample material. All components that are necessary for the system to be operative must be included in the procurement. The equipment will be used for research purposes and it must satisfy the following main characteristics:
— the system must be based on fluid chromatography connected to mass spectrometry;
— the system must be suitable for quantitative, semi-quantitative and qualitative analyses in biological sample material after relatively simple sample preparation (linearity, sensitivity, precision and qualitative accuracy is important);
— the mass spectrometer must as a minimum be able to perform tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS);
— the mass spectrometer must be high resolution MS and thus suitable for qualitative examinations of, for example, medicine metabolites;
— the mass spectrometer must have characteristics that make separation of isomeric molecules possible and that further allow quantification of the unique isomers.
OUS wants the mass spectrometer to have characteristics that make separation of isomeric molecules possible and that further allow quantification of the unique isomers in an injected sample that is prepared from biological material.
The budget is NOK 5 million including VAT.
