The objective of this acquisition is to acquire a modern CIAM (Customer Identity Access Management), particularly in support of VR's passenger transport sales channels, including system access, deployment, support and maintenance services.
CIAM refers to commonly available SaaS software. The provider must respond and manage the hardware, software and security required to access the system.
With an acquired system, VR's end customers must be able to manage multiple different roles through a single customer account. Key user groups for the customer identity management system in CIAMs are B2C, B2B, B2E as well as our interface client.
B2C = Business to Customer
B2B = Business to Business
B2E = Business to Enterprise
Using the system, VR ensures customer identification and security of electronic service access, and utilizes targeting and customization through the service. We can use the service to limit the use by user, so we need a clear way to identify the customer and provide them with the correct content based on identification in our services.
Key requirements for the service to be acquired:
- API interface for authenticating users using username and password
- API interface to verify existing user email addresses and usernames
- Access management
- Access control
- Single sign-on SSO
The provisional requirements for the object of the acquisition are set out in the Annex “VRGroup_Passenger_CIAM_Preliminary_Requirements”. These requirements may yet be specified or changed during the negotiation process.
