The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services to the United Learning group. The catering contract will commence from January 2014 and will comprise of a maximum of 27 United Learning entities listed below.

Due to the nature of the estate and the geography it covers the tender will be split into four lots, namely:

— Lot Number 1:

4 Independent Schools

Geography: North

Estimated value: circa 1 100 000 GBP turnover per annum.

— Lot Number 2:

5 Independent Schools

Geography: South

Estimated value: circa 2 100 000 GBP turnover per annum.

— Lot Number 3:

7 Academies

Geography: North

Estimated value: circa 1 300 000 GBP income per annum.

— Lot Number 4:

11 Academies

Geography: South

Estimated value: circa 2 000 000 GBP income per annum.

Bidding companies may bid for any combination of lots. 27 schools have expressed an interest in becoming involved in the tender process. However, United Learning reserve the right to award all, part or none of the group contract(s) as is deemed appropriate during the process. Dependent upon group expansion further schools / academies may become part of the process. The anticipated duration of the contract is 5 years.
