Due to the planned service life of the Eurocity fleet until 2040 and the associated technical readiness for use, the wagons have to be corroded.

The work will take place in the supplier's factory in the period 2022 - 2028. The fleet consists of 1st class and 2nd class cars.

In order to ensure safe continued operation, corrosion damage in particular must be eliminated and the protective coating renewed. At the same time, the interior is being renovated, floor coverings are replaced, the side and front walls are cleaned or partially replaced, and the seating is reworked.
