Currently, VTT operates a test facility for passenger car exhaust emissions, consisting of a CVS system and gas analysers as well as a chassis dynamo-meter. The original system was commissioned in 1989 with an upgrade of gas analysers in 1998 and a new CVS in 2009. The acquisition now under consideration is to renew the original dilute/raw emissions analysing equipment associated with this set-up and replace current analysers with 1 modern system that fulfils all current-level requirements (Euro 6) for analysing of gaseous exhaust emissions from light vehicles. Also current particulate sampling system will be renewed.

The acquisition now under consideration is a dilute emission measurement and particulate sampling equipment that fulfils all current-level requirements for sampling gaseous exhaust emissions from light motor vehicles (categories M and N1).
