In the project, the County Administrative Board in Västernorrland, together with the industry, wants to create the conditions for a long-term, competitive, sustainable and profitable forest industry. We have a special responsibility when it comes to changing attitudes and leading this change work so that all people have the same rights, opportunities and obligations regardless of gender in our industry.
The geographical boundary is Västernorrland County. The project's three main areas; working life, individual forest ownership and education, are primarily focused on forestry. However, the efforts that will be implemented within the framework of the project will be able to have positive effects on equality work throughout the county forest industry.

Design measures of a strategic nature that will lead to the work on gender equality in the forestry sector moving on to the next step, when a real and lasting change occurs and where the change work has impact.

The project takes off in the action plan that was developed in collaboration with the county's forestry companies and which is based on three main areas:

The project's work encompasses both the goal-driven work that has its basis in the equality policy goals and the law-controlled work that every employer is obliged to work through through the active measures of the Discrimination Act.
The project has a budget for process managers of SEK 2.1 million, corresponding to about 40% of full time. In addition, there are SEK 270,000 for conference costs that the County Administrative Board manages to carry out the process manager's proposed activities. The County Administrative Board intends to sign an agreement with a supplier after completion of the procurement. The agreement is expected to enter into force in February 2020 and will primarily apply until 2022-12-31, with the possibility of extension.
The assignment is expected to start shortly after signing the contract. All requirements and conditions are stated in the tender documentation and the appendices that follow.
