The aim is to determine the levels and sources of origin of heavy metals, and others of interest, in the ambient air of population environments affected by mining activities, specifically those located in the Cartagena-La Union Minera Sierra Minera and Cabezo de San Cristóbal-Los Perules in Mazarrón.
Measurement campaigns shall be carried out over a period of one year to take into account all climatic seasons and obtain results that are as representative as possible, establishing the following sampling points:
- Points to determine the concentration of metals in the air (low volume collectors): 12 points (11 in the mining soil environment and 1 for control).
- Points for determining metal sources (high volume collectors): 6 points (5 in the mining soil environment and 1 for control).
- Atmospheric tanks: 6 points (1 of them control).
STUDY OF THE MEASUREMENT OF METALS IN THE AIR IN THE ENVIRONMENT OF AREAS INFLUENCED BY MINING ACTIVITY AND STUDY OF SOURCES.
