The Aalto University Foundation, operating as Aalto University (business ID 2228357-4) invited tenders for a MALDI-TOF/TOF mass spectrometry platform (hereinafter referred to as
‘MALDI’).
Subject of the contract was complete turn-key, stand-alone MALDI capable of a fully-integrated proteomics workflow including sample separation and data acquisition for both qualitative and
quantitative proteomics applications. The primary use of the integrated system is the analysis of complex protein and glycan samples including their sequence determination
(‘sequencing’). The MALDI includes a Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight/time-of-flight mass spectrometer (MALDI-TOF/TOF MS), a HPLC nano system, an
iontrap mass spectrometer, a MALDI target plate spotter and a software both for the MALDI system control and for acquiring and interpreting the experimental data.
The subject of the contract is delivery and installation of the MALDI, including hard-ware and software, and also training for a minimum of two (2) persons and an acceptance test.
