The MPS platform is designed for general forensic medical procedure work and research. Therefore the platform shall have the broadest possible application. Interest points are for example SNP and STR panels for identification (autosomal, X and Y markers), sequencing of mitochondrion DNA, SNP markers for biogeographic origination (AIMS), and a persons appearance (EVC), body fluid determination from mRNA and microbial data and age determination from epigenetic markers.

The anticipated introductory work load is at least 30 samples per month, but this number is expected to increase. In our CE based procedure work flow, we currently analyse 30,000 trace samples and — 15 000 reference samples per year.

The procurement also comprises signing a framework agreement for the procurement of equipment specific consumables. This framework agreement is ongoing and is valid for as long as the equipment is in use. For the framework agreement, the options (amendment clauses) described in Appendix 4.1 apply. The award of contract for consumables will follow the award of contract for the procurement of the instrument.

The framework agreement will also include non equipment dependent consumables that are necessary to cover the contract purpose.

The procurement shall contain a price for the option of an NGS system.
