The assignment involves performing on-site measurements, sampling and analyses of wastewater, cooling water, surface water and groundwater, at the direction of the supervisors of the Department of Enforcement of the Environment Department.

More specifically, this concerns research assignments and/or technical controls in the context of:

- Article 82 of the Decree of 25 April 2014 concerning the environmental permit;

- Chapter V, Section III of the Decree of the Flemish Government of 12 December 2008 implementing Title XVI of the Decree of 5 April 1995 laying down general provisions on environmental policy.

- The 'Water Code' or the codified decrees concerning the integral water policy of 18 December 2018.

- criminal investigations.

Depending on the actual needs of the situation, the supervisors of the Enforcement Department have the choice between assignments consisting solely of an analysis or assignments consisting only of samples or assignments consisting solely of on-the-spot measurements or assignments that consist of a combination of sampling, measurements and analyses.

This contract is a service contract within the meaning of Art. 2, 21° of the Public Procurement Act of 17 June 2016.
