The contract mainly includes:
• The supply of electrical and electronic equipment for high voltage switchboards, direct current panels and TGBTs;
• The transport of supplies from the manufacturer's factories to the sites or depots, including unloading;
• The tests of direct current panels and transformer-rectifier units according to the specifications set out in the technical clauses of these specifications and their storage in a guarded place until the day of supply;
• The assembly and commissioning of supplies, including the supply and laying of cables according to technical clauses;
• The dismantling, transport and evacuation of used equipment from the metro domain. The said equipment remains the property of the successful tenderer responsible for decommissioning it.

The supply of equipment, the subject of this contract, will be divided and will take place in various places on the Brussels metro network. The company includes, in general, for this contract, in particular:
a) The factory construction of all electrical and other equipment, including all their accessories – to be supplied by the successful bidder – and specified (see quantity survey) in the Special Specifications;
b) The conformity tests (costs to be borne by the successful tenderer, in accordance with the requirements of the General Specifications) of these supplies in accordance with the technical requirements of this document, both in the factory and at the places of commissioning;
c) The transport, unloading and storage of equipment, to be provided by the successful tenderer, in the assembly premises, including packaging costs (remaining the property of the successful tenderer) and unpacking;
(d) The dispatch of all equipment supplied by or made available to the successful tenderer;
e) On-site assembly, fastening (including provision of suitable fastening accessories) and sealing work for all equipment brought to work (see d) above and quantity surveying);
(f) The supply and placement of all casings in technical rooms and tunnels;
(g) The installation, mechanical protection, connection and marking of cables connecting the various equipment assembled by the successful tenderer inside the works;
h) Cleaning of the premises;
(i) The protection of the supplied equipment against corrosion, either by galvanizing or painting, taking into account the colours standardized and/or specified elsewhere in these special specifications;
(j) The testing and development of all equipment provided by the successful bidder;
(k) The necessary holes and the tightening of the holes around the wiring in order to restore the fire resistance of the walls;
(l) The satisfactory commissioning of all equipment. This commissioning includes the general coordination of the tests and installations, including the services necessary for the acceptance of the installations (possibly approved by an approved neutral body included);
(m) The supply of tools (including all accessories) for maintenance, assembly and troubleshooting of the equipment supplied by the successful tenderer, etc., details of which he is required to give in his tender (name, quantity, references, unit price, etc.);
n) the provision of plans, instructions (descriptions, maintenance, troubleshooting) and detailed drawings (to be provided, drawn up in French and Dutch, in accordance with the instructions set out elsewhere), in addition to the preparatory documents for the Subsequent Intervention File (as defined in the Health Safety Plan);
(o) the briefing of S.T.I.B. personnel:
• the supply and fixing of all parts (not sensitive to corrosion, non-conductive current, free of halogens, easily removable and not encroaching on the metro gauge), intended to protect the cables in vertical and horizontal paths;
• the drilling and levelling necessary for the correct routing of cable trays and cables;
• when removing end-of-life cables, identified and identified in advance by the competent STIB services following the application of a precise protocol, the reinstallation of the hose clamps in order to allow the maintenance and fixing of all cables that must remain in place;
• at the points where the cables are passed from the sub-docks to the tunnel shelves, the correct attachment of the cables remaining in place to the vertical shelves. Under no circumstances may cables be tied together to form a bundle of cables;
• grounding of cable trays;
• the supply of tools, equipment necessary for the maintenance of existing cable trays and cables during the replacement of defective ladders. The successful tenderer shall give details of his tender, the tools and apparatus used and specify its cost. The tests and fine-tuning of all such tools and apparatus must be carried out by the successful tenderer before the start of the work to replace defective ladders;
• the successful bidder is responsible for all damage that may occur to cables, cable ladders, etc., as well as theft, acts of vandalism, etc., and this after taking charge of the supplies in question;
• the usual maintenance of the equipment supplied during the warranty period;
• the complete cleaning of the premises.

REMARK:
The services listed above are not exhaustive and the successful tenderer is required to supply, assemble or place, at no extra cost, any accessory necessary for the performance of this contract, in all the rules of the art and in accordance with the requirements of good practice, so that its supplies and services perfectly meet the general and particular technical requirements of these Special Conditions of Tender and that they allow to achieve, with all the safety and reliability required, the goal set when the equipment is put into service. The successful tenderer therefore takes into account that the work cannot in any way disrupt the operation of the works (circulation of public transport vehicles). In this spirit, it is understood that he will have to comply with the directives of the senior official in collaboration with the services of the S.T.I.B.
