The rack and pinion section to be renewed (metre gauge railway with rack) lies between Lungern and Käppeli. The project perimeter is very cramped to the left and right of the track.
The section will be renewed including drainage.
A retaining wall made of natural stones on the mountain side is replaced by a permanent nail wall.
