FBB - Bathing water installations

The city of Göttingen intends to renovate the existing, listed outdoor pool on Brauweg and make it more attractive. All pools are to be fundamentally revised. This includes the dismantling of all outdoor paving surfaces, the removal of all overflow channels, the removal of the film lining, demolition of the pool heads. The bathing water technology must be largely renewed and partially revised. All basins receive new stainless steel gutters and a new foil lining. The non-swimmer pool West will be converted into a children's pool. The walk-through basins will be demolished and replaced by barrier-free walk-through troughs. The entire bathing water technology is renewed and a new rainwater drainage pipe is laid. The existing large slide, as well as the historic diving tower are to be preserved and protected during the construction project. The existing children's pool will be partially demolished and converted into a dry playground. After completion of the pools, the paving areas will be provided with new coverings and the transitions to the higher sunbathing lawn will be revised in landscape planning. The shore areas of the leine are opened on both sides and integrated into the bathing operation as a nature experience space. The two Leineufer connected with a new play suspension bridge. At the same time, the entrance building is being renovated in accordance with monument regulations. The processes of the two separate construction projects must be coordinated with each other in such a way that no hindrances arise.

Total area of outdoor swimming pool: 17,574 m²

Water surfaces: 2,367.04 m²

Plantings and hedges: 370 m²

Trockenspielplatz: 200 m²

Lawns/lawns: 10,600 m²

Right-sided Leinewiese: 3.600m²

Paved areas: 3.650m²

The construction site access is to be approached from the north via the Brauweg, the middle access road and the roundabout. Parking is available in front of the west wing of the entrance building. To be created The construction site will be reached in an easterly direction via the existing cycle path, where a separation with a construction fence takes place. A secured entrance gate with access scrolls borders the construction site. A construction road and a paved turning circle must be built around the construction site that can be used in oncoming traffic. There is limited storage space on the premises. These can be found in the construction site equipment plan. There will be 4 sanitary containers and 3 office containers to deliver. Construction current construction sign

The property south of the Leine is reached from the sand path and is only available for the work on the construction of the play bridge. The existing bridge is not passable.

The tree population on the site must be protected in accordance with the Göttingen Tree Protection Regulations. Parts of the Leineufer are cleared. All paving surfaces are dismantled and disposed of. The pool piping must be exposed. The circumferential GRP gutters must be removed, the film lining of all pelvic bodies must be removed. The reinforced concrete pool heads are partially demolished by means of concrete cutting. Removed the walk-through basins with standing showers.

The Springergrube will receive scaffolding bridges along the pool walls for dismantling.

The renovation of the technical building

includes the dismantling of the pipelines and fittings in the technical building. These should correspond to correspondingly. can be recreated. The hot water and heat exchanger pumps in the technical building have a high temperature. Corrosion on and should also be dismantled and renewed. The current purge air blower is functional and should therefore be carried out within the scope of the renovation measures. be dismantled, temporarily stored and mounted on the new bathing water technology. Since the existing chlorine gas system including dosing system has not been in operation for a long time and is fully functional, it will be retained. The chlorine gas anl. is located in a separate room, which is why the chlorine gasanl. during the renovation measures. does not need to be dismantled. The dosage anl. on the other hand, it is to be dismantled, temporarily stored and re-erected. Currently, a measuring station from Prominent is equipped with a chlorine gas dosing system. used by Jesco. The control of the respective basins should be self-sufficient after the renovation, which is why a suitable measuring station should be used, which is compatible with the dosing arm. is compatible with Jesco. Corresponding measures must be coordinated with the NU of the control technology. The measuring station is to be set up in the pump cellar near the swimming pools. As part of the renovation of the outdoor pool, the concrete pressure filters, which are firmly integrated into the technical building, are to be renovated. For this purpose, the complete filter material is to be removed and the filter nozzles dismantled. The substrate and the interior walls are to be cleaned and freshly treated. Filter gravel and anthracite carbon are to be introduced as new filter material.

Rehabilitation of the basins

As part of the planning work, leak detection with trace gas was carried out in Nov. 2021. The leakage site. showed that the pure water pipe to the non-swimmer pool east at the arch for distribution has a leak. Since this leakage is only present selectively, it should be repaired when the pool head is open. The opening of the pool perimeter takes place on site, which is why the repair of the leak concerns the dismantling and the re-laying of the pipeline. Further leaks were located in the pure water pipes in the upper area of the diving pool. Since the basin loses water and this probably escapes via the leaks, the leaks in the pipelines are to be repaired. For this purpose, the pool floor on the pipelines is opened on site and the NU dismantles the pipelines, new PVC pipes and new inlet nozzles are installed. Since the film of the existing basins has cracks and is curved in several places, the film of the basins and the splash water channel of the pools will be renewed on site as part of the renovation. This means that the inlet nozzles, the gutter drains of the NSB East and the 50 m swimming pool as well as the splash water pipe of the NSB East, the 50 m swimmer and the diving pool from the splash water channel to the splash water tank must be dismantled and renewed. In addition to the renewal of the inlet nozzles, measuring water nozzles are to be installed 30cm below the water surface and new pipelines are to be laid up to the pump cellar and the measuring water stations are to be set up in this area.

Renovation in the pump cellar

To measure the PH, redox and chlorine value, a measuring water station is to be used for each basin. The three pools of the children's pool run over a measuring water station. In order to save pipes for the measuring water and to protect the measuring stations from flooding, an extension is to be built next to the entrance to the pump cellar. This extension takes place on site. The measuring water stations are to be set up differently than before in the extension above the pump cellar. Pool water is taken from the basins at two points via measuring water nozzles, which is fed to the measuring water station. After measuring the hygiene parameters, the measuring water is fed to the splash water tanks. The dosage continues to take place in the technical building. Correspondingly. Measure. must be coordinated with the NU of the control technology. The circulation pumps in the pump cellar have been in operation since 1952 and have already been executed several times. waited. Corrosion can be detected in the circulation pumps after the long running times. In order to ensure more energy-efficient operation of the circulation pumps, they are to be dismantled and replaced by new highly efficient frequency-controlled pumps. Due to the new construction of the children's pool and the additional attractions and slides, a new attraction pump is to be installed in the pump cellar in addition to the circulation pumps. Due to the renewal of the circulation pumps, the pipelines and fittings are also to be dismantled and rebuilt. In a pump shaft, which is located.dem between the entrance building and .dem diving pool, the attraction pumps for the slide and the mushroom of the non-swimmer pool east are located. These are functional and are only operated as required, which is why they are not affected by the renovation.

For the new construction of the children's pool, the previous processing technology in the technical room of the children's pool is to be dismantled. The technical room is located in the westl. End of the entrance building of the outdoor pool. In addition to the pipelines and fittings, the previous processing technology of the children's pool includes the components of the dosing system. as well as the pressure booster anl. The dismantling of the children's pool takes place on site. For the new children's pool, pure water pipes are to be laid from the pump cellar to the inlet points (inlet nozzles, attractions and slides) as well as surge water pipes from the splash water channel to the splash water tank. At the children's pool, inlet nozzles are to be installed and connections are to be made to the splash water channel. The Install. the attractions of the children's pool are built on site, while the pure water connection of the attractions is made by the NU.
