The object of the assignment is to renovate the drainage pipes of the Leopold Canal and the Diversion Channel of the Leie, which flow into the North Sea via the port of Zeebrugge. Both the parts above and below the waterline are being renovated in the dry.

The renovation of the drain pipes includes both the anti-corrosion treatment of the steel sheet piles of the pipes and concrete repairs to the roof plates of the pipes and sheet piles.

The anti-corrosion treatment comprises both cleaning the sheet piles and applying an anti-corrosion layer to these sheet piles.
