The use of new vehicles is planned in the tram and light rail network of Stadtwerke VerkehrsGesellschaft Frankfurt am Main mbH (hereinafter referred to as "VGF"). In addition, the nominal catenary voltage is to be increased from the current DC 600 V to future DC 750 V in the future. The traction power supply systems must be adapted to the requirements of the new vehicles and the higher nominal voltage.
The existing tender includes the renewal of the transformers, rectifiers and the DC switchgear in the tunnel rectifier plant Bockenheimer Warte.
