The project is the winner of an architectural competition organized by the Federal Office for Buildings and Logistics. On the upper floor is the triple hall for training purposes. If required, the large hall can be divided into two or three halls. For this purpose, rigid lift folding walls are built, which ensure a very good sound insulation between the halls and are ball-playable. Theory rooms, the changing rooms and the Schwingerhalle are located in the lower two floors in the south with respect to the landscape. The upper part of the building envelope is made of wood. The supporting columns and beams of the facade are made of glued laminated timber. The base area of the façade is outside as exposed concrete, while the inside is clad in wood.
The construction costs amount to approx. CHF 25.7 million.
