The film institute is a gathering voice for the film in Sweden and a venue for experiences and insights that strengthen the film across all ranks. We preserve and make available the Swedish film heritage, operate because children and young people have a good knowledge of film and moving image, support the production, distribution and display of valuable film, and represent Swedish film internationally. Through a diversity of stories, we enable more people to create, experience and be enriched by film.
At the Film Institute, about 140 people are distributed at the two offices at Borgvägen (Filmhuset, Gärdet) as well as Hollywoodvägen (Rotebro). For more information about the Film Institute, we refer to www.filminstitutet.se.
The Film Institute's IT unit consists of five people. Operating infrastructure, such as communications and servers, is managed by an external corporation. The agreement extends to 2021-12-31 and it is these areas that are current for this procurement.
The Film Institute looks at this procurement as the basis for stable and long-lasting collaboration, where the provider is an active partner of the Film Institute and where we jointly work to find the best suited and most cost-effective solutions for our needs. The vendor will actively work on developing Film Institute solutions over time to meet new needs and new technologies available to support the business.
