By Diplomatic Mail we mean the Services of airlines for the transport of diplomatic Shipments. The Shipments are mainly mail bags and the transport usually goes via DHL Express (Netherlands) B.V. Airlines give these Shipments a separate treatment, including supervision and priority. These Shipments are therefore not treated as regular freight. As an example, KLdiplo or an equivalent service provided by the airline. Diplomatic Mail consists of letters, documents and small-scale goods (including electronics) packed in mail bags that have been sealed by us as Client and provided with a declaration of immunity. Sometimes we can deviate from this and choose a different type of packaging. In principle, we use the services of DHL Express (Netherlands) B.V. for the transport of Diplomatic Mail from the Client to the Dutch Representation abroad and vice versa (see section 2.1.2). We may ask you as a Contractor to take care of the customs clearance and administrative handling, which you provide on request.
