Stadswerk 072 is responsible for the operation of various movable bridges located over the Noordhollandsch canal in the municipality of Alkmaar. The bridges are operated remotely from the central control station Tesselsebrug. Occasionally, due to maintenance or malfunctions, the bridges must be operated locally. The waterway manager of the Noordhollandsch Kanaal is the province of North Holland. This specifications include hiring staff to operate the bridges. As of 1 October 2022, the bridge operators will be deployed in accordance with this specifications for a period of 2 years (excluding any extensions).
