The subject of the award are transport contracts for the following route bundles:
- Southern Westerwald (Lot 1)
- Southeastern Westerwald (Lot 2)
- Eastern Westerwald (Lot 3)
- Northeastern Westerwald (Lot 4)
on the provision of regular bus services, mainly in the Westerwaldkreis.
The Westerwaldkreis is the responsible authority in accordance with § 5 of the State Act on Local Public Transport (Nahverkehrsgesetz – NVG RLP) and thus at the same time the competent authority according to Regulation (EC) No. 1370/2007 for the award of local public transport services in its own sphere of activity.
The contracts for the bus transport services are to apply in the aforementioned route bundles from 14.07.2024 for 8 years (97 months) until 31.07.2032.
