The function of the upper core plate (PSC) pawns is to hold the fuel assemblies in position in the reactor vessel during the operating cycle. Thus, the maintenance in good condition of the pawns is essential to achieve their function contributing to the safety of the nuclear unit.
During each stop for reloading of the reactor, a pawn alignment check or a television control is performed. (These operations are not concerned by this contract notice)
During these checks, the detection of a degradation of a pion leads to the realization of a maintenance operation on the latter:
- Either a repair.
- Let be a replacement.
These two operations are the subject of this contract notice.
