New Leitzentrale Berlin — Grünau

New construction of the Berlin-Grünau control centre for the automation and remote control of Berlin waterways.

For the automation, remote control and monitoring of hydraulic engineering plants, the division of responsibility of the Waterways and Shipping Office (WSA) is planning the new construction of a control center by the WNA Berlin. The new building is to be built on the existing building yard of the WSA Spree-Havel, in 12557 Berlin-Grünau Grünauer Straße 213. As a massive building, the control center is to connect to the existing magazine building with a connecting building and will close the building yard on the southern bank of the Teltow Canal to the water side.

The subject of the present construction project are:

- the dismantling of the existing staircase to the warehouse building including demolition, disposal of the foundations and new construction of the connecting structure to the warehouse building,

- the construction of the control center building including all technical systems,

- the construction of the outdoor and traffic facilities including the bank service route and the angled retaining wall to support the terrain jump in front of the bank sheet piling,

- the direct development / connection to the existing infrastructure,

- the erection of a PV system on the roof of the building including the installation of an energy storage system with its own foundation and additional housing.

For this purpose, an implementation plan must be drawn up on the basis of the tender documents.

As part of construction phase 1, the replacement of the bank wall on the Teltow Canal, as well as the berth for the management company TeK km 37.746 right bank, took place. In order to guarantee the construction freedom for the new construction of the control center, part of the construction site clearance and the connection of the media lines were carried out. These services are to be compared with the planning.

The central signaling and operation of all hydraulic engineering systems (locks, weirs, pumping stations and bascule bridges) within the responsibility of the WSA Spree-Havel should take place in the control center.

For this purpose, the necessary number of workplaces must be provided in the waiting room for the 1st expansion section and for extensions:

- 10 complete operator workstations,

- 10 reserve operator workstations for perspective expansions.

- RLT central unit training room (central ventilation unit with heat recovery),

- Refrigeration systems to supply both ventilation systems, the cooling ceiling and both technical rooms (2 compression refrigeration machines, 2 large buffer storage tanks for 2-hour emergency operation in the event of a power failure to cool the control technology).
