Coventry Universitys current lift planned maintenance & reactive service contract is being re tendered as it is reaching the end of its current contract term. The University intends to award a new framework to a single supplier to commence on the 1.4.2013. The agreement shall be for a 2 year period with the option to extend for 2 additional 1 year extensions subject to performance.
As part of the contract the awarded supplier shall provide a quick and reactive service for Coventry Universitys 60+ lifts for there maintenance, ensuring any failures are rectified as soon as technically possible. The lifts vary by manufacturer and model with a full list to be provided in the ITT document. The lifts are spread across various buildings on Coventry Universitys campus including Coventry Universitys Technology Park and the Universitys student accommodation buildings. All of these buildings are based in central Coventry and these buildings differ in age and size.
The awarded supplier will be required to provide a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week emergency call out service for all 365 days of each contract year, to cover any breakdowns that occur. For this a call out response time of 4 hours maximum for the supplier to be on site will be required.
