East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust currently outsource their domestic services to a single provider across 2 of the Trusts facilities. The contract is due for severance in March 2015. The domestic services included in this procurement are integral to the high quality, safe and effective running of the Trusts facilities in order to deliver effective clinical services to patients. This procurement exercise looks to contract the domestic services across the trust facilities under the scope of this agreement.

The key objectives:

— deliver a single, trust wide, domestic service, which is cost effective and standardises the service delivery methods and quality,

— to provide high quality domestic services that meet all of the guidance and legislation,

— to deliver, affordable and value for money domestic services.

The contract period is expected to be for 36 months with an option to extend for 12 + 12 months.
