The Energy Regulatory OFGEM require customers to have Data Collector and Data Aggregator (DC/DA) contracts in place.

The Data Collector (DC) is an organisation that is accredited by OFGEM to collect Half-Hourly metering system data and Smart meter data.

The Data Aggregator (DA) is an organisation that is accredited by OFGEM to aggregate and validate the metering data that is collected. This is then provide to suppliers for billing and settlement purposes.

The supplier will dial all of Severn Trent Water and Hafren Dyfrdwy electricity meters to obtain meter readings for the settlement and billing purposes.
