The town council decided, in the finance plan for 2016-2019, to set aside 234 000 000 NOK for the renovation and expansion of Skeiene secondary school. The current main building shall be renovated at the same time that the school is to be expanded from an U15 school to an U21 school.

The new school shall be completely ready for the start of the school year in 2018.

The project shall be carried out in builder-managed execution contracts that are organised as joint contracts.
