Package No. 1 – Infectious medical waste.

Package 3 – Non-hazardous medical waste
Package No. 1 – Infectious medical waste.Package No. 1 – Infectious Medical Waste:
- 180102* - body parts and containers for blood and preservatives used for its storage (excluding 180103*) - estimated amount indicated in Appendix No. 1 to the Terms of Reference.
- 180103* - other wastes that contain live pathogenic microorganisms or their toxins and other forms capable of transferring genetic material that is known or for which there are credible grounds to believe that they cause disease in humans and animals (e.g. materials and equipment contaminated with blood, excretions, secretions, used dressing materials, diapers of infected patients) - estimated amount indicated in Appendix No. 1 to the Terms of Reference.
Waste that falls under the code:
- 180102*, requiring special treatment, as parts of the human body detached from the whole (post-operative) are placed in special 60 l and 30 l containers, then put into marked red polyethylene bags (bags are provided by the Ordering Party).
After histopathological examination, tissues are placed in closed, hard containers, and then placed in marked red polyethylene bags.
Other waste (e.g. blood and blood products) is placed in labelled red polyethylene bags.
- 180103* – collected at the place of their origin into single-use containers or bags made of polyethylene film, red in colour, durable, resistant to moisture and chemicals, with the possibility of one-time closure (sharps waste is placed in marked, special, single-use, plastic containers with irreversible closure, with hard walls, resistant to punctures, punctures and other damage. Before being thrown into the red bag, they are tightly sealed).
Collection of waste from Package No. 1 with codes 180102*, 180103*, will take place every day at 6:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The time of waste storage by the Ordering Party may not exceed 24 hours.
* Infectious waste in the waste catalogue is waste marked with a superscript in the form of an asterisk "*" next to the waste type code, unless the provisions of Article 7 of the Waste Act apply.
Pursuant to Article 20(3) of the Waste Act, the Contractor is obliged to dispose of medical waste with infectious properties from the Prof. W. Orłowski Independent Clinical Hospital in the Mazovian Voivodeship.
It is permissible to dispose of infectious waste in the area of the province other than Mazowieckie, in the nearest incineration plant, if there is no incineration plant in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship or the existing incineration plants do not have processing capacity.
Package 2 – Hazardous medical wastePackage No. 2 - Hazardous Medical Waste:
- 180106* - Chemicals, including chemical reagents, containing hazardous substances - estimated amount indicated in Appendix No. 1 to the Terms of Reference.
- 180108* - cytotoxic and cytostatic drugs - estimated amount indicated in Appendix No. 1 to the Terms of Reference.
Waste that falls under the code:
- 180106* - are collected in marked containers, then put into marked yellow bags.
- 180108* - cytoxic and cytostatic drugs – residues of cytostatic drugs with equipment, personal protective equipment put into labelled yellow polyethylene bags. Sharps waste is placed in marked, special, single-use, plastic containers with irreversible closure, hard walls, resistant to punctures, punctures and other damage. Before being thrown into the yellow bag, they are tightly closed.
Collection of waste from Package No. 2 with codes 180106*, 180108* will take place every day, i.e. from Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The time of waste storage by the Ordering Party may not exceed 72 hours.

Package 3 - Non-hazardous medical wastePackage No. 3 - Non-hazardous medical waste:
- 180104 – waste other than those listed in 180103* (e.g. cloth or plaster dressings, bed linen, disposable clothing, masks, diapers, empty vials, ampoules of medicines, packaging of sterile products, etc.) - estimated amount indicated in Appendix 2
- 180109 – medicines other than those mentioned in the 180108 (vials and ampoules with oral medication residues and expired medicines) – estimated quantity indicated in Appendix 2
- 180101 - Surgical and procedural instruments and their remnants (except 18 01 03)
Waste that falls under the code:
- 180104 - are collected in labelled boxes/containers, then put into blue polyethylene bags.
- 180109 - are collected in labelled boxes/containers, then put into blue polyethylene bags.
- 180101 - are collected in marked boxes/containers, then put into blue polyethylene bags
Collection of waste from Package No. 3 with codes 180104, 18101 and 180109 will take place every day, i.e. from Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The time of waste storage by the Ordering Party may not exceed 72 hours.
