Competitive tendering carried out as a joint procurement aims, among other things, at cost savings and standardised operations resulting from the contractual relationship.

In addition to books, the transported material consists of magazines, CDs, DVDs, board games or similar audiovisual materials. The Ratamo and Kirkes data databases and collections are shared by the residents of the entire area. These materials reserved and returned by customers are transported between the Ratamo and Kirkes libraries.

Based on the tendering process, one (1) service provider will be selected. In this tendering process, the basis for overall economic advantage is the lowest price. The tenderer with the lowest bid is selected as the service provider.

The actual contract period is two (2) years. The agreement includes the possibility of an option period of up to two (2) years. The start date of the contract period is June 2023.
