The contract concerns a work (civil, mechanical and electrical) for the new construction and renovation of the WWTP Land van Cuijk (WWTP LvC). WWTP LvC purifies the wastewater of the Cuijk region and is located at the Beijersbos in Haps.

Due to developments in various areas (such as legislation, economy and sustainability), construction work must take place for LvC WWTP in the field of the realization of the new construction and renovation.

The winner and WAM will work out a work package together through predetermined frameworks in a construction team agreement (design phase), after which (in principle) the winner will build and/or renovate the work package (realization phase) by means of a construction agreement.   The project will be put out to tender according to a European open procedure based on the ARW 2016.

The scope of the work is summarized below.

1.Waterlijn:

• The addition of a 5th aeration tank (AT) of more than 5000 m3 to fulfil the result obligation reduction statement WFD: N=4.9 mg/l summer half-yearly average and P=1.0 mg/l at an annual average of N=6.0 mg/l and P=1.0 mg/l. This creates robustness with regard to the ambition to make the effluent standard meet the WFD reduction task;

• Modify existing ATs so that they can last 5-8 years after delivery without major investments (>100k€ incl. VAT);

• Adjusting/renovating/replacing existing air input for the oxygen input into the aeration tanks;

• Taking with you renovating other parts waterline so that no major investments have to take place after completion for 5-8 years; >100k€ incl VAT;

• The above assignment will be ready in 2026;

2. Sliblijn:

• The sludge line will be adjusted in such a way that the sludge can be transported unfermented and dewatered from WWTP Land van Cuijk to WWTP 's-Hertogenbosch in 2026;

• Dewatering, storage and transport provision is realized in this project;

• Sludge/gas line will in any case remain in operation until the sludge can be transported to WWTP 's-Hertogenbosch (2026-2027);

• The above assignment will be ready in 2026;

• The possible transfer or use of the existing sludge/gas line for another destination is not part of this project scope.

3. Post-treatment

• The design of a 4th stage is part of the project.

• The final system choice for the 4th stage will follow in Q1 2023, impact of the urban wastewater directive and consequences for the budget and lead time are part of the system choice;

• The design of the 4th stage takes into account the possibility of realizing any drug residue removal.
