The UMC Utrecht is organized into (care) divisions and supporting directorates. Where the care divisions can decide on investments in people and resources with their own budgeting. This leads to local optimization, specific solutions for specific applications. Until now, this has also been the way in which surveillance systems have been acquired.

In the current facility at UMC Utrecht, there are various monitoring systems, with the result that when transferring the patient, he has to be disconnected and disconnected from system A to B. As a result, valuable information is missed. The development of the technology makes it possible to unlock patient monitoring via the (wireless) network and to follow the patient anywhere in the hospital. In addition to this technological development, the organization of clinical work for the patient is also approached more from a chain that extends over several divisions. In the strategic programme Zorg van Morgen, this approach is further elaborated by looking at the correct use of capacity. Where the flexible and scalable deployment of capacity is seen as an important asset.

The intended duration of the Framework Agreement and the Maintenance Agreement is 8 years with the option to be invoked by UMC of 2 times 2 years.

To indicate the size of the assignment, the following numbers can be provided: 350 compact monitoring monitors with accessories.
