The City of Ylöjärvi is building a new daycare centre in the city centre as a kvr contract. The premises of the daycare centre to be built will be sized for 5-6 groups with a total of 120 daycare places. The building is 1 storey and has a useful surface area of approximately 1,000 m². Tentatively, the construction time is estimated at 08 / 2023 - 06 / 2024.
In the project, a 1-storey daycare centre will be built in the city centre of Ylöjärvi on the site of the old Saurio daycare centre, which will be demolished as a separate contract in July 2023. The facilities of Soppeenmäki daycare centre are designed for 5-6 daycare groups (0-5 years old). In the space program, the facilities are dimensioned using 120 early childhood education places (6 groups, about 20 children / group). The staff size is approximately 23. The useful floor area of the building in the space programme is approximately 1,000 hym².
The new daycare centre in Soppeenmäki is planned to have facilities for 3 operating areas (home area), each with 2 groups of children. The kitchen operates in a distribution kitchen, where meals are delivered warm or heated at the location, if necessary.
It is possible to implement a building using "school modules" (spatial elements), provided that when completed, the building meets the definition of a structure that has been permanently built or erected in its location.
In the immediate vicinity of the daycare centre, a new apartment building may be being built simultaneously on the adjacent plot. The coordination of construction sites must be taken into account, for example, with regard to site traffic and schedule planning of work phases. A parking area has been allocated for the new daycare centre and the 8-storey apartment building in the adjacent vihriälä property area.
