The commissioners are seeking a service that will provide project administration and research facilitators to support the delivery and evaluation of a key component of the ASPIRE intervention package, namely educational outreach meetings for general practices.
It is anticipated that the preferred provider will arrange and deliver educational outreach sessions and support to approximately 160 primary care practices in West Yorkshire to support change in their clinical behaviour and to contribute to the development of primary care quality improvement strategies and their evaluation.
A project administrator with excellent communication skills will be required to schedule meetings between practices and facilitators throughout the duration of the contract. Sessions will begin in May and will be delivered over a period of up to 11 months.
Pharmacists with knowledge and experience of primary care are required to (i) deliver educational outreach sessions (approximately 30 minutes) to primary care staff in 160 practices within West Yorkshire, and (ii) collect data contributing to the evaluation.
