Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute 862 beded Trust. Consisting of 2 Hospitals, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells. Providing a full range of general services and specialist cancer care. The PFI Hospital has been constructed on the existing Pembury Hospital site and provides all inpatient accommodation in single rooms making it the first NHS acute hospital of its kind in the UK.

The contractor will be required to provide a courier service for the conveyance of goods on behalf of Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The conveyance of goods from one hospital site to another both on a routine basis and as and when required. Light goods will include documents and medical/pathological specimens, which have a limited life and must be conveyed in special containers. This could include travel both within and outside the District Boundary.

The Trust would prefer to award this contract to one supplier.
